LUCIE AND RODDY'S MUSICAL MYSTERY TOUR is that rare combination - a show that is both educational and thoroughly entertaining

With stories, costumes, song and dance and lots of joining in, the audience is taken on a lively musical journey back in time. Here they make cavemen sounds, hear minstrel songs and Medieval dances, join Henry VIII's band, help a knight on horseback fight a dragon in an Elizabethan street theatre performance - and even find out what happened when Roddy put his violin in the washing machine!

There are over 20 wonderfully named period instruments to see and play like viols, rebecs, lute, crumhorns, recorders, vielle, hurdygurdy and cittern. Plus primitive sounds like stones, rattles and shells; even a 'bum fiddle' - a genuine musical instrument!

Lucie and Roddy Skeaping are both classically trained musicians with a background in Music Education, BBC broadcasting, orchestras ensembles and theatre. For the last decade the Musical Mystery Tour has delighted children in more than 400 schools with the generous support of W H Smith, National Theatre Education and local authorities. It also performs to family audiences in arts centres, festivals and theatres throughout the UK, the Middle East and the USA
